Summer Season Recap

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2023–2024 Over 50 Season. I hope everyone enjoyed the year.

The East Division added back the temporarily disbanded Wildcat franchise with a new fresh look. They proved to be a great addition and were the frontrunners for the first 20 games. Overall, the division was very competitive all year with the exception of the aging Turtle franchise, who struggled for most of the season.

The playoffs were hard-fought and well-played. The Big Red made quite the revival after a late-season slump. After beating the 2nd place Terriers in the first round and a strong Wildcat team in the Semi-Finals, they took on the vaunted Catamounts in the Finals. The traditionally playoff-jinxed Catamounts prevailed with a tight 3-2 victory. Congratulations to the Catamounts who had another strong season and finally got their names on the Cup.

The West Division was up and down all season, with injuries playing a major role. The Panthers were the class of the league for most of the season until injuries brought them back to the pack. While the Crimson struggled for most of the first half until getting back some of their wounded warriors. The Playoffs proved to be exciting with the Indians beating the Tigers in the qualification game, before falling to the Panthers in the 2nd round. The game of the playoffs was the semi-final between the Huskies and the Crimson. The Crimson prevailed in the league's first Playoff shootout 4-3. The finals between the Panthers and Crimson was a tight game for the first half before the Crimson pulled away for the Championship. Congratulations to the Crimson.

The plans for the 2024– 2025 Season are to return to a 7 team format in both Divisions if possible. Applications are now available online or at the office. Please spread the word to anyone you know may be interested.
